welcome, friends!

meet lexie

Here's the deal, I like sweet wine and I could eat a whole carton of ice cream in one sitting. Couldn't we all though?

I love what I do. I get to meet new people, make new friends, photograph the most precious memories ever, and be a witness of two people making a lifetime commitment to one another. I promise that you will see my passion with photography in all of your images. Documenting all these memories is something I take great pride in.

I enjoy playing with natural light and having my clients truly be themselves. The photographs that are the most memorable are those that purely represent your lifestyle and personality, whether that be of your family tickling each other and laughing, or you and your husband slow dancing and whispering compliments to one another. There is nothing better than true, genuine smiles photographed forever.

I believe that the most magical images are made up of connection, emotion, and light, and that's what you're looking for, right? Photographs that leave you breathless.

I'd love to meet you! Let's get together and eat some ice cream!

i'm LEXIE!

I am a photographer, wife, foster mama, and a real homebody.

I believe that the richest lives are the ones filled to bursting with love.

I believe that "living your best life" is being honest, kind, and courageous - and embracing your wonderful, perfectly imperfect self.

I believe that the greatest accomplishments are most often the diapers you change, or the hands you hold, the meals you cook - the sacrificial love shown to those around you.

I believe that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and colors, and family is what you make it.

I find a deep, incredible joy in preserving sweet memories, and capturing those nuanced emotions that a simple posed snapshot can never hold.

I live for the small moments, the ones that are actually so big and tell a story full of tenderness and history and depth and intimacy.

I want you to remember how it all looked, and how beautiful it was - but even more I want you to remember how it felt

We get one shot at this life, and I believe in living it fully, treasuring it deeply, and remembering it always.

If you want photographs that tell your authentic story and that reach a place in your soul that only love can, I'm your girl. XOXO.

fostering love

I get asked often if I always planned on becoming a foster parent with my husband and opening up our home to children in need. The answer is simple: no. I never thought we would be here being foster parents, but I am so thankful this is the plan God has for us. We’ve always had the heart to adopt - even when Jon and I were just dating in high school we would always talk about wanting to adopt at least one child to our future family but never through the foster care system. After we found out that Jon would be sterile from both of his chemotherapy treatments and his stem-cell transplant, our only chance to adding a member through our family is through IVF or adoption.

I believe in miracles. I believe we will eventually have a biological child of our own in the future, but it wasn't something I wanted to jump right into. For some reason I just had a feeling we should start our family through adoption. Adoption through foster care more specifically. And that is where we are now. Licensed foster parents opening up our home for emergency placements, and long-term placements with the hope to eventually adopt through the system.

our journey as foster parents

Is it hard? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely.
